About Ben
With over fifteen years of experience as a river guide and river manager, Ben brings invaluable outdoor team management perspective to the Recreation Law Group team. Ben’s affinity for systems, logistics, and pragmatic risk management helps him build effective training and risk management field tools for Recreation Law Group clients. He understands both the challenges of implementing risk management practices and the necessity of having such practices in place, a perspective that allows him to lead clients to the right solutions for their outdoor recreation business or organization.
Education + Experience
Ben attend Penn State for mechanical engineering and University of Montana for Environmental Studies. As he studied, he pursued a passion for rivers that led him to guide in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and the Futalefu in Chile. Following his role as a guide, he managed a large guide team on the Yampa and Gates of Lodore for the OARS Family of Companies.
All About the Outdoors
When not introducing his children to rivers and the outdoors, Ben enjoys running whitewater, skiing, mountain biking, climbing, and learning to surf.
